Rape Reported In Church Lot

A 30-year-old woman reported being raped last Friday morning near the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The woman told police she was walking between the church parking lot and another business when a man grabbed her from behind. He put an arm around her throat, slammed her to the ground and raped her, she reported.

Afterward, the man walked away toward Fourth Street, she told police. She was examined at Kootenai County Medical Center.

The attacker is described as a white male, between 24 and 29 years old, 5 feet 8 inches, blue-green eyes, collar-length blonde hair, unshaven and muscular. He was wearing a white tank top, black jeans and white tennis shoes.
