Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: I drive a tall metal stake in the ground next to where I set my outside trash can. I then place the handle over the stake. This keeps the can upright and prevents animals from upsetting it. - A Reader, Frederick, Md.

Smart idea. There’s nothing worse than having to pick up a tipped-over garbage can and all the trash! - Heloise

Dear Heloise: Recently I lost my sister and best friend due to an accident.

It would be so helpful to all grieving members of families if loving and caring friends of the deceased would include their address on sympathy cards and Mass cards.

It would really help all of us, as a lot of people have unlisted addresses in phone books. - Terry Cooney, Staten Island, N.Y.
