Cda Board Expected To Set School Levy Vote

From Staff Reports

The Coeur d’Alene School Board is expected Monday to formally authorize a school plant facilities levy election for May 21.

The two-year levy would raise $9.5 million for construction of a third middle school. The levy requires 55 percent of the vote to pass.

The levy is scheduled for the same day as the trustee election. Trustees Ken Burchell and Jane Curtis are up for re-election.

The School Board also will consider plans for a levy campaign and take action on a drug education program for eighth-graders at its Monday meeting.

The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. at the school district headquarters, 311 N. 10th St.
