Nebraska Player Found Guilty

Former Nebraska nose tackle Christian Peter was convicted of disturbing the peace for grabbing a woman around the neck at a bar.

Peter, a senior co-captain for the two-time national champion Cornhuskers, entered a no-contest plea to the misdemeanor charge in Buffalo County Court and was found guilty. Peter, 23, is scheduled to be sentenced May 21. He could be jailed for up to three months and ordered to pay a $500 fine.
