Boundary School Head To Resign

From Staff And Wire Reports

Boundary County schools Superintendent John Schwartz has announced he will resign at the end of the school year.

Schwartz, 55, headed the district for two years and also worked in Bonner County as a principal. He told the School Board this week that after 32 years in education it’s time for him to retire.

“There are also a lot of tasks coming up in our school district, and I don’t know if I can keep up with all of that with the high professional standards I have set for myself,” Schwartz said.

His resignation will be effective June 30. The School Board plans to launch an immediate search for a replacement.
