Beer Ban Upheld

The Rexburg City Council unanimously rejected a proposed ordinance that would have repealed the ban on Sunday beer sales.

“I think that the very, very vast majority of Rexburg didn’t want any relaxation of the law,” Mayor Nile Boyle said Thursday.

A push to repeal the ban began when some convenience and grocery store managers complained it was unfair that two stores were annexed into Rexburg and allowed to sell beer on Sundays.
