Hints From Heloise
Dear Heloise: I think your column is great and I’d like to pass on a hint.
I don’t have a car and have to ride the bus. On rainy days I always hated to get on the bus with a dripping umbrella. It dripped on the floor and caused worried looks from passengers who were afraid they were going to get dripped on.
It finally occurred to me to put a plastic bag, usually a grocery bag, in my purse and then just before I get on the bus I put my umbrella inside the plastic bag. No more wet floor or apprehensive looks from fellow riders. The plastic bag has done it again! - Elizabeth, Roanoke, Va.
Dear Heloise: Take your old newspaper bags and cut them in half and use for trash bags in your car.
You can punch a little hole on top to hang, if you like. - Joanne Porter, Basking Ridge, N.J. xxxx
