A contracting group that includes the company that built the Kingdome has submitted the low bid to manage construction of the Mariners ballpark.
The Public Facilities District, which is overseeing construction of the 47,000-seat, retractable-roof ballpark, opened the bids Thursday and is to officially name the contractor next week.
The low bid was submitted by Huber, Hunt and Nichols, an Indianapolis company working with Kiewit Construction of Omaha, the company that built the Kingdome.
