Fema Experts Offer Free Advice

Two teams of construction experts from the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be in Kellogg and Wallace next week to give free advice on floodproofing homes.

Residents will be able to talk to specialists who can share simple, low-cost techniques for repairing or flood-proofing homes.

The advice is free and available to all residents.

Reconstruction teams are visiting communities throughout the state. Team members will be available to make home visits for specific advice. The Reconstruction team members will enter homes only if invited, and will carry identification.

Books, fliers and pamphlets on reconstruction and flood insurance will be available from team vans.

A team will be in Kellogg from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 15 and 16. The van will be on Jacob’s Gulch Road across from the Gondolier. Take Exit 51 from Interstate 90.

A team also will be in Wallace from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 15 and 16 at the Wallace Chamber of Commerce/ Visitor’s Center just off I-90’s Exit 61.
