Scott Davis Receives WSU Ski Team Scholarship
Scott F. Davis, a junior from Spokane, has received a $1,511 scholarship from the Associated Students of Washington State University Ski Team.
The Richard C. Brown III Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Davis for academic and athletic excellence and his contribution to the success of the ASWSU Ski Team. He is president of the ski team.
Davis, son of Frank and Shelly Davis, is a predentistry major with a grade-point average of 3.84.
Cameron La Plante, 7, has been named the American Athletic Union’s Outstanding Athlete of the Year for 1995 and now advances to the national competition in Tae Kwon Do. The son of Don and Laurie La Plante earned his brown belt when he was 6.
Amanda Cunningham, daughter of Michael and Linda Cunningham, Spokane, has been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Puget Sound for the fall semester.
Cunningham, a 1993 graduate of Mead High School, is a junior psychology major.
Dr. Karen A. Sesso, a Spokane chiropractor, has received a “master’s recognition for skill in assessment of permanent medical impairments.”
Three additional Inland Northwest students were added to Washington State University’s President’s Honor Roll for the fall semester:
Deborah Baldwin, Moses Lake; Barbara King, Omak, Wash.; and Daniel Wolf, Spokane.
Katherine Anselmo, a history major at Seattle University, was named to the President’s List with a 4.0 grade point average for the winter quarter.
Anselmo, daughter of Frank and Patricia Anselmo, also received the $1,500 Sarah Soule Patton Scholarship from the Washington State Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is a 1993 graduate of Mead High School.
