Plummer Man Formally Charged In Murder

A Plummer man has been formally charged with first-degree murder in the February killing of his cousin during a bar fight.

Michael A. Samuels, 37, appeared before U.S. Magistrate Mikel Williams on Tuesday to answer the indictment that had been sealed since it was handed down in March.

Samuels is accused of stabbing Frankie SiJohn, 25, numerous times with a filet knife to end the argument in the Log Dog Bar on the Coeur d’Alene Reservation. Both are members of the Coeur d’Alene tribe.
