Dear Heloise: If you wallpaper a room, make sure you save scraps just in case they are needed for repairs.
A patch can be made by tearing the edges, rather than cutting it. If there is any design, match it and tear it the approximate shape and size.
You can see the difference with the cut edges compared to torn. The torn patch leaves all the edges thinner and blends in much better than a thicker cut with scissors. - John Atkins, Little Rock, Ark. xxxx
