Battle Of The Bands Fun For Fans, Rockers

Hey, all you budding, junior high and high school rock stars, here’s your chance to gain some major exposure.

Kidsweek ‘96 is staging yet another Battle of the Bands.

If you want to spar with a dozen of the area’s up-and-coming talents for the title of the People’s Choice Award, submit a demo tape of your most recent work to the Chase Youth Commission. The deadline is June 24.

Even if you don’t win, thousands of spectators, or, potential fans, will be listening.

For more information, call 625-6440.

Auditions

The Spokane Area Children’s Chorus will conduct auditions for students, 7 to 17 years old, at Westminster Congregational Church on June 3 from 5 to 7 p.m., and again on June 11 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Whitworth College Music Building. Song preparation isn’t necessary. To schedule an appointment, call 324-0773.
