Three-Way Prosecutor Race Tight

From Staff Reports

Bonner County prosecutor

Incumbent Tevis Hull was in a battle to hang on to his job in a bitterly fought three-way race for Bonner County Prosecutor.

Hull, an Independent, was slightly behind Republican challenger Phil Robinson. Democrat John Topp was staying close to the other two candidates.

With five of the 36 precincts reporting, Robinson tallied 471 votes, Hull had 402 and Topp 361. Robinson, who resigned as prosecutor four years ago, criticized Hull for being soft on criminals, alienating law enforcement and plea bargaining too many cases.
