Agreement Ends Last Of Sex Ring Cases

From Staff And Wire Reports

A woman who had been charged with child rape has agreed not to sue her accusers in return for dismissal of the charges. The move resolves the last of the so-called Wenatchee sex ring cases.

Chelan County Superior Court Judge Carol Wardell on Wednesday signed an order dismissing charges against Kerri Ann Knowles Hill, who was arrested in April 1995 on multiple counts of child rape alleging at least five victims.

Hill, 43, was accused of molesting the children of friends. The parents of those children either pleaded guilty to sex abuse or were convicted by juries in the sex ring investigations.

Hill pleaded innocent and vowed never to accept a plea agreement.

In addition to barring Hill from suing her accusers, the order signed Wednesday prohibits Hill, her lawyers and prosecutors from discussing the case with other parties.
