Camby’s Foot Passes Mri

Compiled From Wire Services

The Toronto Raptors will probably start playing their preseason schedule without forward Marcus Camby who was injured at training camp in Barrie, Ontario.

Camby, the second overall pick in last June’s NBA draft, had an MRI on his right foot that found no structural damage. However, the 6-foot-11 Camby is listed as questionable for the Raptors’ opening exhibition game on Friday in Halifax, Nova Scotia, against the Atlanta Hawks.

Stanley Roberts, troubled by injuries during his NBA career, has been suspended indefinitely by the Los Angeles Clippers for “conduct detrimental to the team,” and has left training camp at Santa Barbara, Calif.

The action stems from an incident between the center and Clippers coach Bill Fitch that took place at the end of Monday night’s practice session, Elgin Baylor, the Clippers vice president of basketball operations said.
