Duke Player Returns

Trajan Langdon doesn’t know how his recently repaired knee will respond to the rigors of college basketball after missing a year. Still, he’s thrilled to give it a try.

“It was a great feeling just going out there and being on the court with my teammates and being able to compete with them, just to go out there and feel the camaraderie and the teamwork going on,” the Duke sophomore said, one day after the first practice of the season.

Langdon, who signed a professional baseball contract with San Diego and played with Spokane in 1994, sprained his right ankle playing for the USA Junior National Basketball Team in the summer of 1995, He compensated by shifting more of his weight to his left leg, and his knee gradually gave way under the strain, sidelining him for the 1995-96 season.
