Early winter checks in

Heavy snow postponed or canceled several events in Moscow and Lewiston. The North Idaho District girls soccer tournament took a hit, as sixth-seeded Lakeland couldn’t reach No. 3 Lewiston, and No. 5 Lake City had no more luck getting to No. 4 Moscow. The loser-out matches may be rescheduled Monday. … Bonners Ferry’s IML season-ending volleyball match at Moscow was rescheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday. With BF at 3-6 in league and Moscow 4-5, the match will have a big effect on district pairings. … Moscow’s cross country invitational was canceled.

Some did play soccer

Teah Beckman had two goals and one assist in the first 28 minutes as top-seeded Coeur d’Alene (15-4-1) stomped visiting Bonners Ferry 15-1. The Vikings advance to meet the LC-Moscow winner Tuesday. The eliminated Badgers finished 0-15-0.
