Norman Robertson Sandpoint
Service for Norman Robertson, 66, is planned for 10 a.m. Monday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Robertson, who died Tuesday, was born in Clarkston, Wash., and had lived in Sandpoint for 16 years.
He worked for the Milwaukee Railroad for 30 years and retired in 1980.
He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Eagles Lodge in Sandpoint.
Mr. Robertson is survived by a son, Mike Robertson of Spokane; three brothers, Fae Robertson of San Diego, Calif., Harold Robertson of Riverside, Calif., and Wallace Robertson of Spokane; a sister, Margie Sisson of Sandpoint; and two grandchildren.
Alma ‘Liz’ Bjerke Wallace
Service for Alma Irene “Liz” Bjerke, 71, will be Monday at the Wallace Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Nine Mile Cemetery in Wallace. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bjerke, who was born in Georgia, died Thursday.
She lived in New York and Butte, Mont., before moving to the Silver Valley in the early 1960s.
Mrs. Bjerke was a cosmetologist and a member of the Assembly of God Church of Wallace.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; two sisters, Grace Blackwell and Betty Phillips, both of Georgia; four grandchildren, Tischa , Shanelle, Melissa and Mike; and one greatgranddaughter, Makayla.

Norma Calapp Malden, Wash.
Memorial service for Norma L. Calapp, 70, is planned for 11 a.m. today at Malden Community Church. Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Rosalia, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Calapp, who died Tuesday, was born in Lewiston and was a longtime Malden resident.
Her husband, Max Calapp, died in January.
She is survived by a brother, Virgil Clyde of Potlatch, Idaho.
Oliver Silfvast Page, Idaho
Memorial service for Oliver W. Silfvast, 86, will be held today at 10 a.m. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel. Private inurnment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Silfvast, who was born in Wyoming, died Thursday.
He moved to the Silver Valley in 1917 from Montana and graduated from Mullan (Idaho) High School in 1928. He went on to receive a business degree from the University of Montana in 1933.
He had worked for Asarco Mining Co. in Mullan before being employed by the Bunker Hill Co., retiring in 1973.
Mr. Silfvast had also worked as an accountant for various businesses and was a partner in Deal Distributing Co.
He had played the violin for many years and was a member of The Silver Valley Band in the 1970s. He was a charter member of the Kellogg Elks Lodge and had served as treasurer for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Martha; a son, Roger Silfvast of Spokane; a sister, Elsie Foster of New Mexico; and one granddaughter, Brittany.
