Eric Booth ran for 127 yards and a touchdown and Heath Graham passed for a TD and ran for one Saturday night in Southern Mississippi’s 31-24 non-conference victory over Utah State of the Big West at Hattiesburg, Miss.

Booth, who carried 19 times, scored on a 2-yard run and also had a 30-yard pass reception and an 85-yard kickoff return.

Graham scored on a 15-yard run and threw a 2-yard TD pass to Don Cunningham for the victors (2-1).

The TDs for Utah State (2-1) came on its opening possessions of each half and with 2:40 left in the game. Pat Mullins passed to Steve Smith for one TD and Abu Wilson ran for another. Matt Sauk threw a TD to Nakia Jenkins with 2:40 left.
