From Staff And Wire Reports

A 34-year-old Kellogg man was killed early Saturday morning when he ran onto Interstate 90 and was hit by a car.

Terry Lynn Peyer died at the scene of the accident, which was about a mile and a half east of Big Creek, according to the Idaho State Police.

Peyer was walking in the freeway median and ran out in front of two vehicles in the westbound lanes at 3:55 a.m., ISP reported.

One car swerved and missed him, but the car driven by Sheldon Adam Scott, 32, of Pinehurst, struck him, according to the ISP.

Scott abandoned his vehicle and left the scene. ISP officers found him later walking on the off-ramp to Big Creek.
