New faces:
Two new employees have joined Ross Printing Co.:
Cynthia Methvin has been appointed to the newly created position of marketing manager. Methvin, who received a bachelor’s degree from Gonzaga University, is responsible for data analysis, marketing strategy, database implementation, public relations and promotions.
Jim Ellis was hired by Ross Labels & Packaging, a division of Ross Printing. Ellis, who has more than eight years of experience in the label and packaging field, is based in Seattle and covers a territory extending from Vancouver, British Columbia, to San Francisco.
Steve Trabun has joined WindStar Group Inc. as marketing manager. Trabun, who has 13 years of experience in the information technology business, was previously director of service and support at Olivetti North America. He holds an MBA from Gonzaga University.
The Spokane Regional Health District has added two employees to its staff:
John Christina Jr. has been named controller in the district’s administrative services division. He has 17 years of experience in the accounting field.
Jan Palmer is the new clinical services supervisor in the community and family services division. She has 17 years of experience in health care.

Dr. Benjamin Hsu has joined Spokane Dermatology Clinic. Hsu graduated from Stanford University and completed an internship and residency there, and a fellowship at UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Darren Hollenbaugh has joined Spokane Cardiology. He graduated from the University of Washington and completed an internship and residency there and a fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Robin K.J.S. Dhillon has set up a solo practice in surgery. He graduated from Hahnemann University, completed an internship at the University Hospital of Cleveland and a residency and fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Dr. Judy Felgenhauer has set up a solo practice in pediatric hematology/ oncology. She graduated from the University of Washington and completed an internship, residency and fellowship at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center.
Dr. Barry Halpern has joined Northwest Neonatology Associates. He graduated from Ohio State University, completed an internship and residency at Columbus Children’s Hospital and a fellowship at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
Dr. Lon Madsen has joined Doctors Clinic in the practice of family medicine. He graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and completed an internship and residency at San Bernardino County Medical Center.
Dr. Deborah J. Martin has joined Dr. Rita Snow in the practice of internal medicine. Martin graduated from the University of Washington and completed an internship and residency at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
Dr. Mira Narkiewicz has set up a solo practice in psychiatry. She graduated from the Akademia Medyczna and completed an internship and residency at the University of Washington.
Dr. Michael Olds has joined the Rockwood Clinic in the practice of otolaryngology. Olds graduated from the University of Washington, completed an internship and residency at the State University of New York and a fellowship at Florida Ear & Sinus Center.
Harpers has added the following people to its management team:
Steve Stenberg was named production manager. Stenberg, who spent the previous nine years in the automotive industry at Donnelly Manufacturing in Michigan, has experience as a production worker, team leader, department manager and quality engineer.
Ed Hannigan joined the company as quality assurance manager. He has more than 30 years of experience in that field and in quality engineering, most recently with Nellcor, a medical instruments manufacturer. Hannigan spent the last six months as a contract quality engineer for Harpers. His responsibilities will include hazard analysis, re-engineering, failure modes and effects analysis, control plan preparation and first article inspection.
Donna Reinke joined the company as purchasing manager. She has 18 years of experience in purchasing, including government procurement in the nuclear energy industry. Reinke will contribute to Harpers ISO 9000 certification effort.
Windermere Real Estate’s Spokane-Manito office has hired Steve Hildahl as a sales associate. Hildahl returned to Windermere after working for RE/MAX, Tomlinson and Better Homes & Gardens.

Tim Olson, executive director of the Spokane-based Northwest Mining Association, has been appointed vice president of public and corporate affairs for Medical Service Bureau of Idaho Inc.-Blue Shield of Idaho. Olson, who will be based in Boise, will oversee community relations, product coordination and related services.
Jeanne H. Kemmerer will retire Sept. 30 after 44 years in the health profession and 10 years as marketing director for Collection Services of Lewis-Clark, a division of CDA Credit Bureau Inc., and Aetna Adjustment Co. Transactions:
Anderson’s Moving and Storage has become an agent for Virginia-based Interstate Van Lines Inc. To become an Interstate agent, Anderson’s had to pass a comprehensive evaluation process covering training programs, customer evaluation systems and safety practices, among other criteria.
Kudos:
Dave Baker of Spokane has been named to the Building Industry of Washington’s Hall of Fame. Baker has been a member of the trade group since 1979 and served as president in 1993. Steve Thosath of Thosath Co. was given the President’s Award for his years of service to the building industry.
The McGregor Co.’s Thornton branch has won the 1996 Washington Environmental Respect Award. Only 25 retailers nationwide received the award this year. Winners are chosen on the basis of plant storage and handling procedures, proper fertilizer and ag-chemical application methods, the facility’s design, leadership in environmental activism and concern for the safety of employees, customers and the surrounding community.
