Blm Seeks Comments On River Control

From Staff And Wire Reports

How should federal land managers control the Lower Salmon River from Vinegar Creek to Hammer Creek?

The Bureau of Land Management wants to know.

The public is invited to any one of four meetings next month to talk about revisions to a management plan for this section of river, which has experienced dramatic increases and changes in use.

The meetings will be held Monday 14 at the Moscow Community Center; April 17 at the Grangeville High School cafeteria; April 22 at the Riggins city hall; and April 29 at the Payette Lakes Middle School in McCall.

From April 15 to May 15, those unable to attend the meetings can submit comments and suggestions via e-mail (http://www.ets.uidaho.edu/salmonriver/) or by calling 1-800-597-7256.
