Carol Millard Promoted To Vice President At Sfcc
Carol Millard has been named vice president of student services at Spokane Falls Community College.
Millard leaves her position as dean of instruction for business, computing, mathematics, science and assessment, and GED testing.
She began her career with the community colleges in 1975 as an adjunct faculty member teaching business courses.
She has received the Burlington Northern’s Faculty Achievement Award and the SFCC Administrative Excellence Award.
Millard succeeds Larry Owens, who is retiring in June after 23 years in that position.
Shannon Baz-Casper, daughter of John Baz-Dresch and Cheri Casper, both of Spokane, has received a scholarship from the Grand Court of Washington, Order of Amaranth.
Baz-Casper, a 1996 graduate of St. George’s School, is a Dunn Scholar at Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
Bridget Curran, a 1995 graduate of Gonzaga Prep and now a sophomore at the University of Montana, has been selected Miss Missoula.
Curran is currently studying music with the university choir at the Vienna Conservatory in Austria.
Marine Lance Cpl. Jeff Graham, son of John Graham and Judith Filkins, both of Spokane, received a Letter of Appreciation while assigned with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13 in Yuma, Ariz.
Graham was recognized for his consistently superior work performance and professionalism.
Bill Bickler, a member of Boy Scout Troop 420, has been awarded the rank of Eagle Scout.
Bickler, a Scout for seven years, landscaped an area adjacent to Freeman High School for his Eagle project. He earlier received the Order of the Arrow for leadership and service.
He is the son of Art and Judy Bickler, Valleyford.
