Comments Sought On Fish And Wildlife

The Northwest Power Planning Council is taking written comments on proposed fish and wildlife projects in the Columbia River Basin until Aug. 21.

Information on the projects is available on the World Wide Web at www.nwpc.com or by calling the council’s office at (800) 222-3355.

The projects are funded by the Bonneville Power Administration as mitigation for the impact of hydroelectric dams. New projects are selected each year.

The public will have another opportunity to comment on the proposals from area fish and wildlife managers at a council meeting in Spokane on Aug. 26 and 27 in the Doubletree Downtown Hotel.
