Johnson Loses Again

Michael Johnson’s attempt at redemption failed when he placed a distant fourth in the 200 meters at the MAI Galan track and field meet.

The race was won by Norwegian Geir Moen. Johnson managed only a time of 20.85, against Moen’s 20.58.

Sweden’s Ludmila Engquist won the women’s 100-meter hurdles in 12.69. Cheryl Dickey of the United States finished a distant second in 13.23.

Tim Montgomery won the 100 in 10.12 followed by Kareem Streete-Thompson (10.18) and Brian Lewis (10.25).

Chryste Gaines won the women’s 100 in 11.31.
