Dear Heloise: I always purchase my meats in bulk and, therefore, I use foil to store them in the refrigerator-freezer.
The one thing that drives me crazy is that I can never get all the foil off the meat for a quicker thaw. So, if I run hot or warm water over the foiled meat, it comes off easily! - J. Ladensack, Phoenix
Dear Heloise: I read your column every Sunday in the paper and enjoy it very much.
Here is something I find helpful. When I go to the dentist, doctor or whoever and get an appointment card, when I arrive home I clip the card to the bottom of the calendar page for the month of my appointment.
