Pocatello Man Has First Official Case Of The Flu

A Pocatello man has Idaho’s first laboratory-confirmed case of influenza this winter.

“We officially begin the season,” state virologist Roy Moulton said Thursday.

Idaho is the 22nd state to report influenza so far, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta reports.

The Pocatello sufferer has influenza type A. Nationwide, 95 percent of cases so far have been type A.
