That Sore Wrist May Be Broken
If you’re told you have “golfer’s wrist,” it may really be broken.
In a report to the Radiological Society of North America, Stanford University radiologist Francis Feller said fracture of the hook of the hamate, a small wrist bone, “is an important and common stress injury that affects the non-dominant hand of golfers.
The diagnosis is often delayed because it cannot be seen on conventional X-rays.
Untreated it can lead to chronic pain and interfere with the golfer’s game.”
