Laurence and Beatrice Michaels, Loon Lake, celebrated their 50th anniversary with a dinner at their son’s home on Dec. 14.

Hosts for the event were their children and spouses: David and Nancy Michaels, Elk; Larry and Debbie Michaels, Deer Park; Cathie Hannaford, Spokane; and Charon Melcher, Princeville, Hawaii.

The Michaels’ were married Dec. 19, 1947, in Spokane. They have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
