Cruikshank Makes Team

David Cruikshank qualified for the U.S. Olympic speedskating team with a second-place finish in the men’s 500 meters at the U.S. Long Track Olympic trials at the Pettit National Ice Center.

Cruikshank, 28, is married to five-time Olympic champion Bonnie Blair.

Cory Carpenter and David Tamburrino joined pre-race qualifier KC Boutiette in the men’s 1,500.

Chris Witty, who qualified in the women’s 1,000 on Saturday, qualified in the 500 and 1,500 Sunday.

Becky Sundstrom and D’Andrea Moira also qualified in the 500 and the 1,000.

Sundstrom qualified in the 1,500, as well, joining Jennifer Rodriguez, who qualified for her first Olympics.
