Abl Founder Investigated

Federal authorities are investigating one of the founders of the American Basketball League, nursing home operator Bobby Johnson, in an alleged scheme to defraud Georgia Medicaid programs of more than $5 million, court documents indicate.

Johnson is reported to have invested a large portion of the $4 million in seed money used to start the ABL.

Olympic basketball star and Seattle Reign player Venus Lacy, who suffered a concussion this week in a traffic accident, is improving, Louisiana Tech coach Leon Barmore said.
