Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: Recently I accumulated so much loose change that my wallet was bulging. So I put all of it in a small snack-size, resealable plastic bag.

After eating lunch in a local tearoom, I pulled out the bag to find the extra change needed to pay the check. When the cashier saw how easily I found the correct change in the bag, she raved about what a convenience and what a good idea it was. Finally, she paid it the ultimate compliment - “That’s an idea you should present to Heloise!” - Nancy Combs, Roanoke, Va.

You did and I agree! I use a small plastic bag as a traveling nail polish carrier and can see at a glance what I need to grab. - Heloise

Dear Heloise: The plastic sleeve that your newspaper comes in will fit over your arm if it is in a cast. It keeps the cast dry when you are showering or doing other chores that require putting your hands in water. - A reader, Elsberry, Mo.
