Cougars Lose To San Diego State
Washington State University’s baseball team once again failed to outslug San Diego State Sunday, when the Aztecs pounded the Cougars 14-7.
Although WSU (0-4) outhit San Diego State (6-2) 12-11, but Cougars committed five errors, helping the Aztecs tally 10 times in the third and fourth innings.
Washington State trailed 12-2 before scoring five runs of its own in the seventh inning.
Ray Hattenburg had three hits for WSU, including a double.
The Cougars, who returned home late Sunday, will return to action Friday in Stockton, Calif., beginning a three-game series against University of the Pacific.
