Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: Toddlers (1 to 4 years old) never like to look up to get their hair washed. I hung stars and a moon from the ceiling with construction paper and it does wonders. My toddler looks up now and tells me all the colors of the stars. So much easier! My sister has her kids howl like a wolf and that works for her. - Cindy Marson, Rosamond, Calif.

Ingenious ideas! Anything to get the children to cooperate. - Heloise

Dear Heloise: A morning surprise! Like many others, we prepare our coffee the night before for early morning brewing.

Recently, after pouring our first cups, we emptied the grounds and filter. In the plastic filter container was a spider, dead, of course. No more early preparation for us. - Alma and George Sheff, Colorado Springs, Colo.
