Compiled From Wire Services

A unspecified violation of team rules has earned Adam Walton, son of Basketball Hall of Fame member Bill Walton, a suspension for the remainder of LSU’s basketball season.

Walton, a 6-foot-9 sophomore forward from San Diego, played 41 minutes in 10 games this season, totaling 23 points and eight rebounds. Walton, 21, became the seventh player suspended by LSU coach Dale Brown in his 25th and final year as LSU’s head coach.

Tunji Awojobi, Boston University’s top scorer, rebounder and shot blocker, was suspended by the America East league for an additional two games for hitting a Vermont player during a game.

Awojobi was automatically suspended for one game after being ejected from the game last Thursday. The league suspended him for unsportsmanlike conduct for two more games, including the team’s regular season finale Sunday.
