Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: I bought a microwave cart that could be used as a TV and VCR cabinet. I was cleaning and rearranging my cabinet drawers and needed more space for my large utensils such as stirring spoons, meat forks and labels.

When I was shopping for a cassette holder, the idea came to me. It was exactly what I needed for my utensils. I bought one with two drawers and it fits perfectly between the top and the storage space on the bottom of the microwave cart. - H.D.H., Plainfield, Ind.

Dear Heloise: If you carry your lunch in one of those plastic grocery bags, don’t automatically throw it in the trash can.

Place your lunchtime scraps in it, tie it neatly and then throw it away. The custodian will appreciate it. Or save a few for the office coffee grounds. Sure beats a leaking or rusty trash can. - Ilena Holder, Hollywood, Ala.
