Reardan held on to its No. 1 ranking Thursday while also holding on to the title of Bi-County League Tournament champion.

Rhett Soliday hit four 3-pointers, and he and James Kiger had eight rebounds apiece to lead the Indians (22-0) past seventh-ranked Almira/Coulee-Hartline 52-44 in the league championship game in Reardan.

Reardan made 16 of 19 free throws and held the Warriors (17-4) to 36 percent shooting from the field.

The Indians open District 7-B Tournament play at Spokane Falls Community College at 7:45 Monday night against Panorama League No. 4 Selkirk (17-6). ACH, as Bi-Co No. 2, draws Panorama No. 3 Springdale (17-7) at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

John Galbreath scored 12 of his 23 points during the telling third quarter to guide the ninth-ranked Broncos (21-3) past the Panthers (15-9) in the game for the third and fourth district seeds.

Galbreath hit three 3-pointers and finished 8 of 9 from the free-throw line. VC shot just 41 percent (11 of 27) from the line.

Ritzville’s district opener will be at 6 Monday night against Panorama No. 2 Curlew (17-6). VC waits until 7:45 p.m. Tuesday to play Panorama champ and fourth-ranked Republic (21-2).
