Shadow Opens Season April 26

The Spokane Shadow will open defense of its USISL Premier League Northern Division championship April 26 against the Okanogan Challenge at Joe Albi Stadium.

The season opener, which kicks off at 7:05 p.m., is one of 12 home matches on the Shadow’s 22-match 1997 schedule.

Other top matches scheduled for Albi include a May 30 showdown against the Central Coast Roadrunners, last year’s Premier League National champions, and a July 5 contest against the A-League’s Vancouver 86ers.

Season tickets and six-game packages can be purchased at the Shadow office at Albi, or by calling 326-GOAL. Individual game tickets go on sale in early April.

The Shadow will hold tryouts March 1 at 10 a.m. at Joe Albi Stadium. Tryouts are open to players of all ages, but those under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian on hand to complete a liability waiver form.
