Alpine skiing

See your pass, pal? In case you haven’t already noticed, Schweitzer Mountain is checking more tickets in an effort to crack down on lift-pass fraud.

Nordic skiing
The Methow Pursuit, a one-or-two-day Nordic race, is Jan. 11-12 in Winthrop, Wash. Info: (509) 996-3287.
The Pend Oreille Nordic Club and Newport Ranger District have cleared fallen trees from Upper Wolf and Geophysical. Trails are groomed. Snow Line: (509) 447-7300.

Snowmobiling
Ride with the Coeur d’Alene Snowmobile Club’s annual “Fun Run” on Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m. either at the Cascade Lodge or Rollin’ S Wilderness Lodge at Lakeview. Info: (208) 687-1227.
