Mp Bitten While Breaking Up Fight

A military police officer was injured while trying to break up a fight early Sunday at a club on post, Fort Lewis said.

Sgt. Michelle D. Lotz-Taylor, assigned to the 571st Military Police Company at the fort, was bitten several times by a woman she was trying to restrain at the American Lake Club, Army officials said. The woman was involved in a fight with another woman.

Ms. Lotz-Taylor was treated and released.

The woman who bit the officer was taken into custody on charges of aggravated assault on a military police officer and resisting apprehension. She is a soldier assigned to the post, Army officials said.
