Leonard, King Enter Boxing Hall
Sugar Ray Leonard, whose charisma and virtuoso style endeared him to boxing fans, and promoter Don King, often regarded as a ring rogue, will be enshrined into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
Former light heavyweight champion Jose Torres was the other living honoree in the 1997 induction class of 13.
Welterweight champion Luis Rodriguez and featherweight champion Chalky Wright joined Leonard and Torres from the modern era as posthumous selections.
