Shirley Fuels Cda Win Over Sandpoint

Freshman Katie Shirley, making just her second start, scored 17 on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor Saturday as Coeur d’Alene beat visiting Sandpoint 61-50 for its first Inland Empire League win in three years.

Shirley added 14 rebounds and five blocked shots, and Patti Stranger five assists and seven second-half points for the Vikings (5-11, 1-3).

CdA’s Janee’ Andre’ added four rebounds and five steals. The Bulldogs are 2-12, 0-3.
