TV Cabinet Designed For Corner

Don And Dave Runyan U-Bild Features

Here’s a great way for do-it-yourselfers to get the television set out of sight and optimize space in the living room or den at the same time.

This handsome TV cabinet project is designed to fit snugly in a corner, keeping the TV set handy and out of the way while protecting the walls at the same time. And when the TV is off, you won’t even know it’s there.

Made of oak (or the lumber of your choice), the cabinet accommodates up to a 27-inch TV and features a shelf for a VCR and cable box. Its spacious, full-extension drawer is perfect for videocassettes, video games and remote controls. And its clean lines and handsome finish will blend with almost any decor.

Straight cuts, simple joinery and straightforward construction techniques make this a good project for woodworkers of almost all skill levels. Although the project requires careful measuring and cutting, detailed diagrams eliminate any guesswork.

The completed corner TV cabinet measures about 47 inches tall by 29 inches deep.

The Corner TV Cabinet plan, No. 864, costs $9.95 and includes step-by-step instructions with photos, full-size traceable patterns, detailed construction diagrams and a materials list and cutting layout.

A package of four other cabinet plans, No. C100, costs $19.95 and includes plans for an entertainment armoire, a corner china cabinet, a clothes armoire and a free-standing linen closet. A catalog picturing hundreds of projects costs $3.95. Prices include postage and handling. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery (for first-class mail, add $1 per item up to $3 maximum).
