Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: You’ve run several suggestions for ways to distinguish fax numbers from phone numbers. I think my husband’s idea is the best yet. He has his fax number printed upside-down on his business card and stationery. - Deanna Ritchey, Bakersfield, Calif.

Dear Heloise: As I read the newspaper and find a recipe or an article I want to clip and save, I write myself a reminder of the page number on the first page of that section. That way, I can easily find the article to be saved the next day before recycling the newspaper. More important, I’m not cutting holes in the paper before everyone has a chance to read it! - Betty Horvath, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

Dear Heloise: A few cardboard center pullout openings from tissue boxes make a good filler for clamp-type pants hangers. They will make the clamp bind tighter. Otherwise, the weight of the trousers might cause them to fall out of the hanger. - Charlene Betz, Joplin, Mo.
