After losing by only two points to the Jayhawks here last year, Colorado threw another scare into Kansas before losing 77-68 Sunday in Boulder, Colo.

Raef LaFrentz scored 21 points and Jerod Haase added 20 for the unbeaten Jayhawks, who defeated Colorado for the 15th straight time.

The Jayhawks (20-0, 6-0 Big 12) jumped out to a 13-0 advantage and led by as many as 16 points in the first half, but Colorado guard Chauncey Billups led a second-half rally that put the Buffaloes (15-4, 6-1) up 64-63 with 6:19 to play.

LaFrentz then took charge, fueling a 10-0 run for a 73-64 lead with 3:48 left.

At Chapel Hill, N.C., the Tigers (16-3, 5-2) came to town with their highest ranking ever but left with the same frustrating result - its 43rd straight loss in Chapel Hill as the Tarheels (12-5, 3-4) got 22 points from Antawn Jamison.

At Fayetteville, Ark., Nazr Mohammed scored six points in the final 4 minutes and the Wildcats’ (18-2, 6-1 SEC) pressure defense, which forced 25 turnovers, was too much for the Razorbacks (10-6, 4-3).

At College Park, Md., Laron Profit and Sarunas Jasikevicius combined on two alley-oop plays in the final 4:07 and the Terrapins (17-2, 6-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) made their free throws down the stretch for a victory over the Blue Devils (15-5, 4-3).

At Los Angeles, reserve Darnell Burton scored a career-high 31 points, including six 3-pointers to become the Bearcats’ career leader in that category, as Cincinnati (14-3) routed the Trojans (9-7).

At State College, Pa., A.J. Guyton scored seven consecutive points early in a 26-2 run and the Hoosiers (17-4, 4-3 Big Ten) held the Nittany Lions (8-8, 1-6) without a field goal for more than 11 minutes.

At Austin, Texas, Reggie Freeman scored 17 points and Al Coleman added 16 as the Longhorns (11-5, 5-1 Big 12) beat the Tigers (10-9, 2-5).

(25) Marquette 61, DePaul 49

At Chicago, Chris Crawford scored 22 points and Marquette’s defense held the Blue Demons to 25 percent shooting as the Golden Eagles rolled to a victory.

Marquette (13-3, 4-1 Conference USA) took control with a 14-0 first-half run and used a 12-4 spurt at the start of the second half to put away DePaul (3-14, 1-5).
