Man Dies In One-Vehicle Accident

From Staff And Wire Reports

A 30-year-old man died Monday after he wrecked his pickup east of Medical Lake, authorities said.

Anthony Norris was pronounced dead at Sacred Heart Medical Center at 1:15 a.m., about 1-1/2 hours after he rolled his 1985 Toyota on state Highway 902, Washington State Patrol officers said.

Norris was driving westbound when he apparently drifted into a ditch on the right side on the road, troopers said.

He tried to drive his car back on the road but over-corrected and shot across the highway into the other ditch, troopers said.

Norris again tried to get his truck onto the road but the car began to roll when he jerked the wheel to the right, according to the WSP.

The Medical Lake resident was thrown from the cab and suffered massive head and internal injuries. Troopers said he wasn’t wearing his seat belt.
