The United States lost to China 2-1 in an exhibition game and stretched its losing streak to four. It is the worst skid since 1994.

Trailing 2-0, Eric Wynalda scored in the 72nd minute for the U.S., his 28th international goal, the most ever for the Americans.

China and the U.S. team play again Saturday night at Guangzhou.

The United States is winless in five games, starting with a 2-2 tie at Guatemala during World Cup qualifying in December.

World Cup qualifying resumes for the Americans on March 2 at Jamaica, when they start the 10-game final round in the North and Central American and Caribbean region.
