Glacier Park Climber Still Missing
A search continued in Glacier National Park on Monday for an employee of Glacier Park Inc. who failed to return from a solo mountain-climbing outing.
Spokeswoman Amy Vanderbilt said Matthew Truszkowski, 25, was due back Saturday night from a solo climb on Mount Sinopah, on the east side of the park. He left about 11 a.m. Saturday.
Rangers have closed off the area to the public to protect any signs that might lead them to Truszkowski. A ground and aerial search was conducted Sunday following the standard route up Sinopah Mountain, which is near Two Medicine Lake on the east side of the park.
Truszkowski, of Lexington, Mich., was not prepared for an overnight stay and a park press release described his climbing experience as limited.
