Blazer Pleads Innocent

A defense attorney entered innocent pleas on behalf of NBA player and former Murray State star Marcus Brown, who is charged with five counts of unlawful transaction with a minor.

Brown, who played last season for the Portland Trail Blazers, did not appear at the arraignment in Calloway District Court.

Brown came under investigation last month after three students in Murray State’s Upward Bound program had to be treated for excessive alcohol in their systems. Five students allegedly had been with Brown the night the three females had to be hospitalized.
